Manchester Community College launched a public beta of its new website earlier this semester. It sports a new look and feel, and has reorganized navigation compared to the old site.

At the top is an orange organization bar, which features tabs for college information, admissions and financial aid, academic programs, and resources for current students. On the left side is a search bar, a welcome section for different categories of site visitors, and a calendar of upcoming events.

In the body of the homepage is an RSS feed featuring the latest updates from the college, and several buttons that offer different important links such as access to myCommNet, the college’s course catalog and options for making a donation to the college.

Some improvements that the website currently has include improved accessibility for Spanish-speaking people and a more visible link to the employee directory. Some things that have not gotten better include the fact that links to critical information about student activities are not clearly visible, and the directions page has not been completed.

Once again, this is a public beta, and the website as a whole is incomplete, and the site design team is currently accepting feedback from the public. If you would like to visit the website, the address is http://www.mcc.commnet.edu/ or http//www.manchestercc.edu/. To provide feedback, a black bar is at the top that directs you to a submissions page. If you would like to provide feedback, please do so in a clear, concise, respectful manner.
