“Kingsman: The Secret Service” is a great action film you’ll want to watch in theaters. I saw this movie on Valentine’s Day and it kept me intrigued and interested. “Kingsman” was directed by Matthew Vaughn, and it is about a secret service organization. The Kingsman have manners and are trained to fight and are sincere to their cause. They have modern weapons with an old school elegance.

The plot of this movie was a little bit confusing. The story starts with a group of three secret service men in the Middle East and one of them sacrifices himself and dies. Harry Hart, played by Colin Firth, feels guilty and gives a special metal to a troubled child named Eggsy, played by Taron Egerton, who grows up without a father.

I really liked Harry’s fighting in the bar scene when he first meets Eggsy because they use high-tech weaponry while they fight. Eggsy is offered some training to become a Kingsman. The training is hard and is about following orders regardless of the task. He faces many challenges and tall orders with many others that desire to be one of the “Kingsmen.” His only friend in the group, Gazelle, played by Sofia Boutella, is always nice to him and is always willing to help him. As more people from the training are sent home, the final two that are left to become a Kingsman are Eggsy and Gazelle.

In the final part of the training, Eggsy is asked by Arthur, played by Michael Caine, to shoot the dog. At first, I found this part hard to watch because I couldn’t believe he was forced to kill a dog in order to be a part of the training. Since Arthur is the head of the Kingsman group, Eggsy chooses not to shoot the dog, and so he ends up being sent home as he has failed the training.

The main villain of the film is Valentine, played by Samuel L. Jackson. He targeted the Kingsmen as well as Arthur. Valentine plans on reducing the world population and once Eggsy found out, he went after Valentine to try and stop him.

The irony is that Valentine can’t see any blood because it makes him throw up and acts as if he is not killing anyone and that they are killing each other. He had a lisp, which Samuel L. Jackson played well. Toward the end, Eggsy stops Valentine and prevents the massacre that almost unfolded. However, since they are part of a super-secret service, no one is to be told what just occurred.

This film offers elegance to its audience as well as action and adventure with a great plot-twist story. It is also quite comical and I strongly recommend watching this movie since it has a bit of everything. It is a bit violent but otherwise it’s a very family-friendly film. This movie is a great choice for everyone and for those who despise chick flick films. Watch this movie while it’s still fresh out of theaters!
