How I Met Your Mother Enters Final Season
How I Met Your Mother is on its way back. In just a few days, the start of the ninth and final season will start. For eight years, HIMYM fanatics have been watching and waiting with so many questions. Who is this woman? Why is she so important? What makes her so special? For a few viewers, she is already a main character just like Ted or Marshall. They don’t need a face to understand her, but for everyone else, the producers and cast have signed on for another season to wrap up the worlds of the five characters that have become a part of everyone’s lives.

Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), the Architect, is in love with the idea of finding his soul mate. He’s looked high and low for “The One”, but has yet to find her.

Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Ted’s best friend, met Ted and Lily while attending Wesleyan University. Lily and he later got married after quite a while of dating. He was first a lawyer and a judge, assumed from the end of season eight.

Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan), slap bet commissioner, is a very good friend to everyone and overall a caring person. She looks out for Ted, Barney and Robin whether they want it or not. She married Marshall after nine years of dating, a year apart and six more months of engagement. Later having a baby boy, Marvin wait-for-it Erikson.

Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), the bachelor, is a genius at ways for men to get girls. He had created an entire Play Book, with every play possible to get a woman to go home with a guy, which he did give up for Robin. Barney is engaged to Robin Scherbatsky.

Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), the Canadian, became part of the gang after Ted met her in a bar. She is a very independent woman, making a name for herself. Despite that, she is very connected to the gang and honestly doesn’t know what she would do without them.

The Mother (Cristin Milioti), was the college roommate of Cindy, one of Ted’s ex-girlfriends. She owns the yellow umbrella. Ted and her will eventually meet at Robin and Barney’s wedding.
