The Charity Ride/Run/Walk event on Saturday September 28,2013, was a huge success! Many came out for a day of running , walking , riding, and fun. All to raise money for the 3rd Annual veterans scholarship fund. This event raised a total amount of $1,973! The day included a continental breakfast, beautiful whether and even a band.The funds raised at the event will help aid honorably discharged service members, pursuing a degree or certificate at Manchester Community College, with their educational expenses (including tuition and fees, and books).

Manchester Community College is home to over 350 military service members, and many are ineligible for the Connecticut Tuition Waiver and/or GI Bill Educational Benefits primarily due to their time of service (i.e. served during “peace time”) and duty status (i.e. Army/Air National Guard-without mobilization).
